Seeds of Health, Inc. welcomes Ann White as new WIC Program Director

MILWAUKEE (April 24, 2018) – Seeds of Health, Inc. is proud to welcome Ann White as its new WIC (Women, Infants and Children) Program Director.

As WIC Program Director, White will oversee the program at 1445 S. 32nd Street which safeguards the health of low-income women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk by providing nutritious foods to supplement diets, information on healthy eating, and referrals to health care.

The program, authorized by the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services, serves more than 2500 pregnant women, breastfeeding women, postpartum women, infants and children up to the age of five on an annual basis.

White has more than 25 years of public health management experience specializing in clinic administration, management evaluation, service provision and new program innovation.  She joins Seeds of Health after working for the State of Wisconsin, Department of Health Services, Division of Public Health where she served as the Team Lead for the WIC and FMNP (Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program) for Milwaukee County for 16 years. Prior to that, she served as Program Director and Nutrition Education Coordinator for Wee Care Day Care Inc.

White received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health Education with a minor in Nutrition from Purdue University.

Comprised of the five education programs as well as a Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program, Seeds of Health, Inc. was designed to holistically address the health, wellbeing and educational needs of Milwaukee-area women, adolescents and children.
