At Seeds of Health, our community feels like a family – both for our students, and for our staff. Small by design, our schools are places where teachers can connect, learn, and grow together – places where their ideas are heard and appreciated. Our leadership team is responsive to staff ideas and feedback; if teachers or their students have ideas for collaborations, clubs, or partnerships, we work intently to turn those ideas into a reality. Here, we’re proud of every contribution our staff makes to our vibrant school culture and community.

We aim to ensure that all members of our staff feel supported and part of the Seeds community, whether they’ve been here for one year or for ten. In addition to competitive compensation and benefits, we provide instructional coaching to every teacher and transition support to newer ones. Many members of our leadership team were teachers themselves – a lot of them even taught at Seeds of Health schools, including our CEO – so they’re distinctly aware of the tools and support teachers need to succeed.

Our buildings and facilities reflect our understanding of the role that safety plays in where teachers and staff choose to work. We work to keep our facilities clean and the environments within them safe so that our teachers can focus their energy directly on their students’ learning needs. In this culture buoyed by safety and support, our teachers and staff know they’re making a difference every day in the lives of Milwaukee’s youth, and this sense of accomplishment is a major reason why they choose to make their home with us, year after year.

This institution is an equal opportunity provider.

What our staff are saying...

I have been given a lot of freedom to implement learning opportunities that I believe will benefit students in school and in life beyond. I have been given the trust and support of the admin team to bring ideas and thoughts to life in real ways.
We are a smaller, more focused school, which is perfect, because I teach all of the freshmen, not just some. By the time they graduate, we get to know every student in our building in a way that is not possible at some larger schools.
My favorite thing about working at Seeds of Health is the community we build here. It feels like a more personal relationship between staff and students, like we are a small enough environment to be able to really know everyone. I don't feel like a number as a member of staff, and I think it creates a really interesting dynamic with students. I feel like students are more comfortable approaching us as people who are also teachers. I enjoy that aspect, as well, since it creates a community feeling unlike any I had been expecting going in as a first year teacher.
Seeds of Health is unique to me because it provides heartfelt support and care for children and their families from birth through high school. I am grateful every day to be a member of this organization!
My favorite thing about working at Seeds of Health is how supportive all the staff is of each other. We all work together to provide the best possible community for our students and ourselves.
I love the support I have at Seeds of Health. We are all working towards a common goal of providing rigorous, high quality learning experiences for our students. I love how everyone here puts the well-being of the students first.
