Since 2016, Herb Kohl Philanthropies has sponsored Seeds of Health students' Learning Journeys to Washington, D.C. Last February, 90 students from Tenor Journal Square, Tenor Cathedral Square, and Veritas High School spent five days touring the capital city, visiting some of our nation's most meaningful memorials, museums, and landmarks. During this particular journey, Herb Kohl Philanthropies documented Seeds of Health's experience -- with the help of videographer Terrance Sims -- capturing the moments that inspired our students to make a difference and that will impact them for a lifetime. One student traveler reflected, "This trip helped me understand that I have a role in my community, my government, even here at home. I can start volunteering. Maybe I'm not old enough to vote yet, but I can still write letters or talk to my representatives....I have a role in the community that I live in...to make these changes."
Thank you, Herb Kohl Philanthropies, for the years of generosity that have made these Learning Journeys possible for hundreds of Seeds of Health students.
