Students Tour Washington, D.C.

The trip included stops at the White House, U.S. Capitol Building, the Smithsonian Institution, the National Museum of African American History and Culture, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, and many monuments and memorials, along with a university tour for our high school students. The voting workshop at the Capitol Building and Supreme Court lecture and tour brought our country’s legislative and judicial systems to life for our students in a way that simply cannot happen in a classroom alone. One of the most powerful moments of the trip came when four students representing Seeds of Health were chosen to participate in the wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery. This event was featured in this video the students created to remember the trip. This trip was life-changing for Seeds of Health students and their memories will last a lifetime!
