Enrollment Requirements

Access to the Program

After receiving a completed application packet, the Grandview staff conducts initial interviews with students and parents to determine if Grandview High School meets each applicant's needs.  Grandview maintains a waiting list and students will be called for an interview as openings occur.

Prerequisites for Admission

Grandview High School is open to male and female high school students age 15-20 who are defined as a "Child At-Risk" under Wisconsin Statute 118.153. which include: dropout, habitual truant, school-age parent, behind in credits for age and grade level or behind in reading and math skills.

Procedures to Determine Eligibility

An Alternative School Application Form must be completed and signed with parent/guardian permission. Applications may also be completed by your current high school guidance counselor or by contacting Diversified Community Schools at (414) 475-8110. Official transcripts and IEPs (if applicable) must be attached in order to be considered.

Use of Any Assessment/Evaluation Instruments

A reading and math test will be administered to determine placement in classes. 

Reasons for Possible Refusal

Students will be denied admission if they are not eligible or if they are currently involved in a disciplinary proceeding.  If the school’s enrollment is at capacity, the applicant’s name is placed on a waiting list.
