A regional recognition luncheon for all award recipients was held at Greendale High School on April 8, 2017. In a surprise announcement at the luncheon, Herb Kohl revealed that he had decided to double the scholarship amount from $3,000 to both Joe Neman and the school to $6,000 for each.
